Happy Birthday To Loo Movement!
Hi Friends,
This February Loo Movement Core & Mobility Class turned one year old! A year ago, back in 2023, I created the class you know and love at a different studio under the name “Guided Embodiment”. Over the years, it took on many names, "Mobility Awareness", “Active Recovery”, "Loo Movement Yoga”, "Loo Movement Pilates”, and “Loo Movement Physical Therapy”. As a Qigong instructor, I learned the value of slowing down and becoming embodied and centered. I saw that this form of movement was a very effective way to work on mobility. As I continued to teach, I noticed that class was attracting active students who valued preventing injury so they could continue to do the activities they love, with the added bonus of relaxation. Finally, I realized that drawing from Pilates, yoga, and physical therapy made it the perfect blend for optimizing body alignment. And voila! The class turned into what we have today, Loo Movement Core & Mobility. For those of you who have been with me on this journey, I’m so grateful and thanks for growing with me.
My goal for creating this class has always been to give my 1:1 clients a place to practice their tailored counter-shapes outside of sessions, but still with my guidance. Wellness isn’t always easy on your own and having a familiar group of smiling faces in class can make it more fun. And if it’s more fun, then you’re more likely to do it :) Class is limited to 10 spots, so you’ll still get individual attention from Valerie. Plus, it’s a great, relaxing way to start your Sunday!
We've been fully booked lately, so make sure that you reserve your spot in advance!
Keep moving and stay well,
Valerie Loo, PT
