This physical therapist-inspired movement class is designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall strength. Valerie will guide you into a calm, centered state of heightened body awareness, followed by a sequence of mobility and core exercises that will reset and restore your body to improved alignment. Loo Movement is a 6-step mind-body practice that will teach you how to register and integrate positive changes into your standing posture, so that you’ll move better and can continue to participate pain-free in the activities and sports you love!

Some experience with movement or meditation is helpful.

Loo Movement Essentials Quartet

Fridays & Sundays

In these semi-private classes capped at 4 students, you’ll get more of Valerie’s 1:1 alignment help, but at a lower price point than an individual session. This small group class is a great way to start your Loo Movement training or to tune up and elevate your current practice. Valerie will guide the group into Embodied Awareness the same way she does with individuals 1:1, but in quartet style. With more opportunities for personal attention from Valerie, you’ll learn how to be more precise and effective with your Counter-shapes. You’ll also learn from each other!

These classes have a dedicated monthly focus (i.e. shoulders, hips, spine, etc). If you are someone who does better with guided regular practice, this offering is for you!

Foundations of Loo Movement

In this one-time introductory class, you will learn the Loo Movement method and get an introduction to using Counter-shapes (all props will be provided). This class is semi-private and capped at just 4 students, so you’ll get plenty of individual attention from Valerie. Taking this class will help you progress faster and farther on your Loo Movement journey. It’s also a great way to get a taste of Loo Movement, learn more about the various offerings, and get a better sense of which one is best for you. Some prior experience with movement or meditation is helpful.

Loo Movement Reformer Pilates

Wednesdays:

Improve flexibility, strengthen under-developed muscles, and improve spinal stability using the Pilates Reformer machine. In this small group setting, Valerie will guide you through core strengthening movements using the Reformer to provide both resistance and support. The Reformer improves your baseline strength and alignment while opening the door for healing and rehabilitation. Plus, you’ll walk away feeling taller and lighter!

If you have an injury, are in pain, or are new to the Reformer, you’ll need to start with a 1:1 Reformer session with Valerie.
