End of Year Celebrations
Hi Friends,
As we approach the close of 2024, I've been reflecting on the incredible progress and dedication I've seen from each of you this year. The “Prehab” mindset of Loo Movement truly shines through—what you put in, you get back, and I’ve been so inspired and proud to watch you all grow in your body awareness, effective alignment, mobility, and strength. I’d love to share a few highlights that I think will inspire us all as we move into the new year!
Shiree shows up in the Loo Movement community in an inspirational way. When she first started classes, she had chronic hip, knee, and foot pain. She felt an immediate resonance of “this is for me” and kept showing up at classes, workshops, and whatever new offerings I created. She started 1:1 sessions to complement her group work and I saw her gains exponentially improve. Today, she is pain-free and continues to build up her wellness bank account while also diving deeper into the history of her body. She even assists with the Foundations class to model the Loo Movement method for our newbies! We’re grateful for Shiree’s energetic contributions to the community and we hope she’ll be with us for a long long time ;)
"Nine years ago, Valerie led me on a journey to better alignment, posture, and exercise form. She taught me the Loo Movement skills necessary to successfully manage my lower back, neck, and hip pain. Recently, I pushed my body too hard and ended up with a flare up I couldn’t resolve myself. I returned to Valerie again and have gained an even deeper understanding of how to manage my symptoms at this stage of my life. She’s given me specific, updated alignment corrections and new Counter-shapes to elevate my practice. I've redefined my relationship with my body and I'm grateful for her spot-on intuition. Once again, she's helped me improve my health, invest in myself, and feel more empowered. Thank you, Valerie!"

Valerie Jew is a Master Reiki instructor (she was my teacher!) and an active community member, passionate about making Reiki more accessible to all. I am so pleased to be hosting her Community Reiki clinics at the Loo Movement studio! Read on for more details.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a healing touch offered either seated or lying down. The healing work addresses fatigue, depression, anxiety, pain, and pre and post surgery. It is complementary to any medical intervention. A session can encourage a good night’s sleep, restore energy, decrease blood pressure, and promote ease. Invest in self-care and spend time doing nothing, while receiving everything.
These clinics will be held every 2nd and 3rd Saturday from 10:30am-1:00pm. You can sign up for individual sessions at these clinics, either 30-minute sessions for $30 and hour-long sessions for $50.
RSVP at valeriekyee@gmail.com or call 510-301-2391 to book your session.
We hope that these highlights bring you cheer and motivation. Thanks to Chloe, I’ve been able to expand my Loo Movement offerings and grow the business to make my visions for the future a reality (like more classes and workshops, a Loo Movement retreat in Mexico, and a teacher training program, so stay tuned)! I don’t know what I’d do without her!
Stay curious,
